We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Clinical Embryology Specialist to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to work in a state-of-the-art laboratory, supporting our expanding assisted conception services.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all routine andrology and embryology procedures, including ICSI, as well as supporting the training of new laboratory team members. They will also contribute to the development of our OTC programme, working closely with the embryology, OTC, and wider ACU teams.

About Us

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK's largest assisted conception clinics, offering both NHS and self-funded fertility care. We operate a seven-day service, caring for patients who are undergoing funded treatment, and attract both national and international self-referrals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake all routine andrology and embryology procedures, including ICSI
  • Support the training of new laboratory team members
  • Contribute to the development of our OTC programme
  • Work closely with the embryology, OTC, and wider ACU teams

Requirements

  • Life Science Degree
  • HCPC registered
  • Familiar with QA/QC (EQA/IQA) relevant to assisted conception
  • Familiar with HFEA code of practice

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Higher degree
  • ACE certificate/STP
  • Familiar with HTA regulations

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000- £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive and collaborative work environment.
