Head of Payroll Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Payroll, Global Mobility, and Working Time Compliance teams. As Head of Payroll, Working Time and Global Mobility, you will be responsible for establishing an efficient and compliant national Payroll function, ensuring timely payments and adherence to legal and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Operational leadership of three core HR service teams in Payroll, Global Mobility, and Working Time Compliance.
- Establishing and maintaining an efficient, compliant, and optimized national Payroll function.
- Monitoring and managing monthly payroll administration tasks, including HMRC deadlines, reporting, and payments.
- Providing professional guidance to senior business stakeholders on HR-related matters.
- Identifying areas of business risk or improvement and formulating action plans to resolve them.
- Liaising with external partners and auditors to ensure compliance with UK legalities and requirements.
- Supporting the delivery of HR Services projects and initiatives in line with the HR People Strategy.
- Ensuring compliance with International and UK procedures and creating localized supporting materials for regional and Head Office implementation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in building high-performing teams.
- Organized and structured approach to task allocation and follow-up, with attention to detail.
- Expert knowledge of operational time recording, absence management, and pay models in a FMCG setting.
- Proven track record of delivering projects and initiatives on a national scale.
- Expert data analysis skills to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ability to translate complex concepts or problems into clear and concise decisions or action plans.
- Self-motivated with a personal drive to see challenges through to success.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to persuade and convince others.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver relevant detail effectively and understandably.
