Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Forensic Psychologist to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, providing high-quality psychological services to individuals with mental health difficulties.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in forensic psychology and experience of working in secure inpatient settings. They will be responsible for delivering psychological assessments and interventions, as well as supervising and managing a team of psychologists and therapists.

We offer a competitive salary of £67,950 - £78,028 per annum, plus excellent benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Main Responsibilities
  • To provide specialist psychological assessments and interventions to individuals with mental health difficulties, including those with personality disorders and high-harm offending histories.
  • To supervise and manage a team of psychologists and therapists, ensuring that they receive the support and guidance they need to deliver high-quality care.
  • To develop and implement high-quality clinical risk assessments using structured tools, ensuring that individuals are safe and supported.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A doctoral-level qualification in applied psychological therapy or a related field.
  • Experience of working in secure inpatient settings, preferably with individuals with mental health difficulties.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of supervising and managing a team of professionals.
