Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for conducting routine inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines according to established schedules.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on onshore wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and extend turbine lifespan
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, or technical issues impacting turbine performance
  • Participate in special projects, such as commissioning, onboarding turbines to our fleet, major component replacement and other
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in wind turbine maintenance and operations

Quality and Safety

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, identifying and mitigating potential hazards
  • Check and maintain the quality of all components relating to wind turbines, as well as recognizing interconnections within the system's architecture
  • Ensure the safe and effective operation of electrical and mechanical components within the wind turbine

Collaboration and Improvement

  • Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to implement improvements and optimize turbine performance
  • Continuously improve the performance of our wind turbine fleet based on error/gap analysis, response times, and operational data statistics
  • Work on tasks with the control room and remote monitoring of wind turbines worldwide

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as applied to wind turbines
  • Proficient in using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and equipment for troubleshooting and repair
  • Proven experience in the maintenance, repair, or servicing of mechanical or electrical systems, preferably within the renewable energy sector
