Riverside Church Trust seeks a highly skilled and dedicated professional to lead our Children's Ministry Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a comprehensive children's ministry program, ensuring that all children and families feel welcome and included.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a team of volunteers to deliver engaging and life-changing programs for children and families.
  • Design and implement a biblical curriculum of teaching that adapts to the needs of our children and families.
  • Lead services with multi-generational content, inspiring and engaging children and adults alike.
  • Build relationships with families on the fringes of church life, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Collaborate with our Generations Team to deliver joined-up projects and initiatives that connect with and engage new families.
  • Disciple and oversee the spiritual growth of all children, including small groups and one-on-one mentoring.
  • Work with the Worship Director to develop children's worship and spiritual gifts.
  • Organize and host children's residentials, providing opportunities for growth and discipleship.

Requirements:

  • Part-time role (30 hours) equivalent to 4 days per week.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Sundays and some evenings.
  • Salary: £22,050 - £22,932 (depending on experience) based on 30 hours per week, plus 5% employer's pension contribution.
  • Holiday entitlement: 5 working weeks, plus statutory public holidays and Christmas-week break.
  • A 6-month probationary period, with regular reviews and staff development opportunities.
