About the Role


Tate Recruitment is partnering with a prestigious British luxury fashion brand to find an exceptional Assistant Technologist.



Job Overview


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and participating in upstream risk management of raw materials from the development phase to production, ensuring alignment with the highest quality standards, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery objectives.




  • Attend cross-functional meetings and provide guidance on risk mitigation
  • Deliver clear technical direction to Raw Material Development, Product Engineering, and Production teams
  • Review and validate raw materials and specifications against the brand's quality standards
  • Maintain testing raw material trackers and update systems such as Flex PLM as needed
  • Assist in engineering textile raw materials and attend supplier meetings to develop in-depth knowledge of supplier capabilities
  • Ensure accurate and complete data input within PLM for assigned raw materials


Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:




  • A degree in Textile Technology or equivalent
  • Sourcing/procurement and quality management experience is advantageous
  • An interest in technology and engineering
  • Proactive skills in building and maintaining partnerships internally and externally
