Senior Port Operations Manager

Our client, SMS International Shore Operations, is a leading provider of passenger logistics services in the cruise industry. They operate across multiple ports, offering a range of services including port agency, turnaround services, and shore excursions.
About the Role
This role involves overseeing the supervision of Guest Port, Airport, and Hotel Operations, ensuring seamless embarkation and debarkation processes while maintaining high standards of service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff resources, improving systems and guidelines to increase productivity, and monitoring quality of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise teams to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality operations
- Design and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Liaise with pier personnel, internal departments, and vendors to promote excellence in all areas
- Oversee incident reports and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate records and reports on staff performance, operations, and compliance
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or equivalent experience
- Proven experience in cruise terminal operations, transportation planning, and management
- Strong leadership skills with ability to engage, drive progress, and change
- Able to travel locally, regionally, and internationally as required
- Familiarity with safety, maritime, and statutory requirements and regulations applicable to the port and ship agency
