Automated Equipment Technician

We are looking for a skilled Automated Equipment Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of automation equipment through effective maintenance procedures.
You will perform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance, provide technical support to the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leader, and identify and address any issues with automation equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out maintenance tasks on automation equipment, including routine checks, repairs, and replacements.
- Support the Engineering Manager and Maintenance Team Leader in maintaining automation assets.
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders to improve automation outputs and address any issues with equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in maintaining automation equipment. You should also have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is approximately £51,051 per annum, plus a night shift allowance of £5,100 per annum (pro rata), 22.5 days annual leave with bank holidays, and a defined contribution pension scheme.
Royal Mail Group offers a range of benefits, including a welcome bonus of £1,500 for eligible candidates, a weekend supplement for Saturday (£51 per attendance) and Sunday (£102 per attendance) shift attendance, and a full UK driving licence is required.
