About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our team in delivering the Healthy Child Programme in Leicester City. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and wellbeing of children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective healthcare services to children and young people, using evidence-based practice to promote their health and wellbeing.
- Support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme, working closely with schools, families, and other stakeholders to identify and address health needs.
- Develop and deliver health promotion programmes to prevent ill health, support early identification of health needs, and reduce health inequalities.
- Work with individuals, education, and communities to promote healthy lifestyles and reduce health risks.
- Act as a whole-family safeguarding caseload holder, including strategy calls, Children in Need, and Child Protection plans.
- Deliver the Healthy Together continence offer and support early intervention and referral for emotional health issues.
- Co-ordinate and support the completion of health questionnaires in schools.
- Undertake comprehensive health assessments for identified children and young people.
