Long Term Futures: SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special needs school. The successful candidate will work with children with special educational needs.
About the Role: As a SEN teaching assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students in a specialist setting that provides holistic support. You'll work closely with both verbal and non-verbal autistic learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Help students understand teachers' instructions.
- Work with individual learners in the classroom or with individuals or small groups in the learning support department.
- Track and record pupil progress.
Key Experience:
- Working in a teaching or teaching assistant role.
- Experience working with SEN children, especially with ADD/ADHD/Autism.
- Strong communication and social skills to manage the needs of the children.
- Enthusiastic and flexible attitude.
To Be Eligible For This Role:
- Hold a Right to Work in the UK document.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.
