Job Title: Area Sales Manager for Ceramic Tiles

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team in the South East and Anglia region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of circa 30 tile distributors and 30 independent bathroom retailers, with a focus on selling a manufactured range of wall and floor ceramic tiles, large format slabs for kitchen worktops, and other related products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field sales role selling ceramic tiles and large format slabs to tile distributors and independent bathroom retailers
  • Responsible for circa 30 tile distributors and 30 independent bathroom retailers
  • Helping to implement new company strategy focusing on customers with a turnover of €60,000-€250,000 per annum
  • 50% account management, 50% new business development role
  • Circa 15 customer visits per day
  • Overnight stays when required, and travel 3-4 times a year to Spain and Italy

Requirements:

  • Tile industry field sales experience
  • Retail/tile merchant or distribution customer experience preferred
  • Worked for or sold to a tile distributor or independent bathroom retailers or tile merchant
  • Hard working and honest
  • Willing to travel/stay overnight when required
  • Professional and prepared with strong organisation and territory management capability
  • Prepared to do high UK mileage and happy to travel abroad when required

Our client is a leading European manufacturer of ceramic tiles with a small UK subsidiary established circa 15 years ago. We are a specialist Construction Field Sales Recruitment Consultancy dealing exclusively with Construction Field Sales Jobs, Construction field sales vacancies and Specification field sales positions within the ceramic tile industry.
