Job Title: Industrial MS Engineer

About Our Client

We are a leading chilled food group with sites across the UK and Ireland. We are looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Biased MS Engineer to work in our fast-paced Somerset-based manufacturing site.

Job Description

As an Industrial MS Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out both reactive and pre-planned maintenance across a variety of machinery on site. You will report into the Engineering Director and work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maximize plant and equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime.
  2. Deliver planned engineering tasks on time and in full.
  3. Implement good repair and manufacturing practices and procedures.
  4. Complete planned maintenance documents.
  5. Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements.
Person Specifications
  • Strong Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
  • Ability to Learn Quickly
  • Collaborative Team Player
  • Excellent Work Ethic
Qualifications / Experience
  • Electro-Mechanical Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC Level 3 or similar
  • Previous experience working within a food manufacturing/FMCG/production environment
  • Fundamental understanding of Electrical Maintenance
  • PPM and Breakdown experience
