The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electric Propulsion Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for testing and developing our air-breathing ion propulsion system. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of our maiden in-orbit demonstration mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and test new iterations of the ion propulsion system
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and control engineers to ensure flawless operation
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in future design iterations
  • Manage the entire testing process and take full ownership of the system
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of spacecraft Electric propulsion systems
  • Previous practical experience in electric propulsion testing
  • Experience working with vacuum systems, power supplies, fluidic management systems, and data acquisition systems
  • Good technical understanding of plasma physics, modelling, and diagnostics
  • Skills in CAD modelling, electronics, and laboratory automation software
