About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Heritage Site Director to lead and manage our heritage site operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service, managing the site, and promoting innovation and creativity to increase income generation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Line manage a large team of staff to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Manage the site, ensuring it is well maintained and provides an enjoyable environment for visitors
  • Promote innovation and creativity to contribute to increased income generation
About You

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in retail, catering, private hire, and visitor management. They must be able to lead and inspire others to deliver an excellent museums and galleries service within a context of shrinking resources and competing priorities.

The successful candidate will also have a full understanding of statutory and legal requirements related to the safe management of occupied and functional commercial and heritage Grade 1 listed buildings, including H&S and EA. They will be able to ensure delivery of outstanding customer service to all visitors and customers.

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £41,418 per annum (rising to £38,223 in year one), rising to £41,418 (year four) pro rata for part-time workers. We offer different working arrangements, depending on the role, including hybrid working.
