About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Bank Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Bright Horizons Guildford Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Bank Staff Member, you will have the flexibility to work on a part-time basis, supporting our nurseries within a pre-agreed radius of your home address.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Nursery colleagues in delivering the EYFS, engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, and encouraging their development towards key milestones.
  • Supervise children throughout the day, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands, including hygiene standards and room preparation.
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive, happy, and safe environment on a day-to-day basis.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a nursery or similar setting.
  • A passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • The ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults.
  • A sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable, embracing working cultures in different nurseries.
