Job Summary:
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Prescribing Support Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in promoting and implementing cost-effective and evidence-based prescribing practices within GP practices and Care Homes across NHS GGC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with GPs and primary care multidisciplinary teams to improve medicines management and deliver exceptional patient care.
- Deliver the pharmacotherapy service as part of the GP contract, providing essential support to patients with their medicines.
- Utilize excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and IT skills to influence and drive change.
Requirements:
- Pharmacy Technician qualification, NVQ3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent registrant with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Experience working in primary care or as part of a multidisciplinary team is highly desirable.
