Overview
As a Technical Rubber Compound Development Specialist at Continental, you will play a critical role in driving innovation and excellence in our mixing and calendering operations. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in polymer science and compound development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise in rubber compound testing, evaluation, and formulation to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize production efficiency.
- Provide technical support to sales and customer-facing teams to resolve compound-related issues and improve customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure Continental's products remain competitive and compliant.
- Contribute to the development of improved QA Management Systems for compound mixing department materials control, including maintaining and reporting of KPIs.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Polymer Science or equivalent.
- A minimum of five years' experience in high-value batch manufacturing environments, including practical hands-on experience with all aspects of the mixing operation.
- Excellent knowledge of mixer control systems, compound testing systems, methods, and applicable standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of computer literacy (MS Office) and excellent communication skills.
