Winner Recruitments is currently working with a family-run maintenance company that requires a skilled Maintenance Engineer to perform pre-planned preventative and reactive maintenance on cleaning equipment, ensuring optimal performance, longevity, and safety.



The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and servicing various cleaning machines, including floor scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and other specialized equipment.



The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance.



Responsibilities include:




  • Traveling around the M25 to perform regular maintenance and repairs on cleaning equipment, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues.
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems and proactively addressing them to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling equipment components such as motors, pumps, brushes, batteries, and other mechanical/electrical parts.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborating with equipment operators to understand issues, provide training on basic troubleshooting, and recommend operational best practices.
  • Ordering and managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and other maintenance-related supplies.
  • Providing technical support and training to end-users regarding the proper use and handling of cleaning equipment.


Key qualifications and skills include:




  • Holding a relevant qualification in Electrics, such as NVQ/City and Guilds Electrical Engineering & 18th Edition.
  • Experience in working on similar equipment that involves motors, such as vending machines or coffee machines.
  • Good technical knowledge and solid technical skills in troubleshooting, planned maintenance, and reactive maintenance.
  • Good communication skills, as the role involves client-facing interactions.


The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.



Location: Heathrow, with flexible working hours.
