Job Title: Clinical Assessor – Nurse

Job Summary:
TPS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Clinical Assessor – Nurse to support the Victims' Payment Board (VPB) in delivering the clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme. The successful candidate will have expertise/experience in a mental health or psychiatric background with more than two years' post-registration experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Meet face-to-face with applicants to review available medical evidence and determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement
Play a proactive role in seeking insight and further medical evidence from GPs, other healthcare professionals, or services to support the applicant's TPDPS application
Gather relevant information from applicants and analyse and interpret clinical information along with any other supporting evidence
Compile a comprehensive report in a professional and concise manner, including a detailed history, a full justification, and conclusion from evidence gathered to support the Victims' Payments Board (VPB) in its decision-making

Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience
Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with the NMC
A demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty
Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures
Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems

What We Offer:
A competitive basic salary of £38,500
A career pathway programme which can increase your salary up to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus
Initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided (Fully Paid)
Flexible work patterns – Work between 8am and 8pm, while you'll be contracted to work 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
Hybrid Working – predominantly working from home, with clinic visits required
