In line with our commitment to work-life balance, NHS Scotland is introducing a 37-hour working week, effective from 1 April 2024, without any reduction in pay. This change will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. However, some service areas may require employees to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which they will be paid. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Recruiting Board.

This role requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership or record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group, they will need to apply to Disclosure Scotland and meet the necessary requirements before commencing in the role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath labs, as well as developing advanced practice skills to meet the department's needs.

Experience in Angiography examinations is essential. The successful candidate must have the knowledge and ability to update or change protocols and equipment parameters when required, as well as reviewing waiting times and implementing service changes.

The post holder will be expected to participate in advanced practice to assist in developing the interventional service, while supporting others to train and develop skills and techniques in Interventional areas.

You will be supported by the Radiology Service Manager to continually develop clinical knowledge and leadership skills, working alongside other modality leads as required.

The department utilizes advanced equipment, including 2 Siemens Axiom Artis and 2 GE Innova IGS, and 1 GE Allia 7.

The successful applicant will be required to participate in the On Call rota and provide cover for evening and weekend shifts.
