About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Project Engineer to join our Projects team at IMG LIVE. As a Lead Project Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering internal engineering and infrastructure projects, with a focus on Broadcast IP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Create and manage project documentation, including project timelines, workflow/system schematics, and cable schedules.
  • Lead the training and development of the engineering team on core equipment and software.
  • Work as part of a wider dynamic engineering team towards engineering excellence, including developments and special projects.
  • Monitor and comply with all health and safety across the engineering team.
  • Provide leadership cover for other lead engineers, including leading a shift when rostered opposite another lead engineer.
  • Pro-actively participate and share the responsibility for the recruitment, management, pastoral care, and supervision of the general engineering team.
  • Document and communicate technical and operational issues, including assisting with the proper maintenance of the asset register.
  • Work in a consultative and advisory capacity on projects directly related to existing business needs, growth, new business pitches, and RFPs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in broadcast engineering.
  • Previous project delivery experience.
  • Strong knowledge of broadcast IP network design and implementation, SMPTE 2022, 2110, NMOS.
  • Strong IT and networking skills.
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of broadcast and IT within an engineering capacity.
  • Planning, quality focus, resolving problems, managing processes, and commercial awareness.
  • Ability to keep calm and react positively in a pressured environment while understanding the urgency of a technical challenge.
  • Provide creative solutions to technical challenges under pressure.
  • Project management experience is desirable.
