About the Role

In this exciting role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial transactions, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining healthy cash flow. Your day-to-day tasks will include evaluating the creditworthiness of customers and setting appropriate credit limits, monitoring credit risk, and recommending adjustments as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the creditworthiness of customers and set appropriate credit limits
  • Monitor credit risk and recommend adjustments as needed
  • Issue invoices promptly and accurately
  • Chase overdue payments via phone, email, or letters
  • Negotiate payment terms and resolve disputes
  • Clear down aged debt from customer accounts
  • Match payments received with outstanding invoices
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Prepare regular reports on outstanding debts, cash flow, and credit performance
  • Collaborate with finance teams to analyze data and make informed decisions

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of credit control regulations and best practices
