Job Description:

We are seeking freelance interpreters to work with us on a variety of projects, including face-to-face, telephone, and video interpreting. As an interpreter with Language Empire, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, including NHS, Local Authorities, Police, and other public and private organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services
  • Conference and public service interpreting
  • Liaising between the service user and service provider
  • Dealing with highly confidential information

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered is advantageous
  • Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
  • Any other interpreting related qualification

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a self-employed position, so you will be responsible for managing your own workload and finances.
