Job Summary:

We are an established education recruiter seeking a committed and experienced Learning Mentor to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a large Mainstream Secondary school.

This role involves developing and implementing individualised learning plans, collaborating with teachers and other professionals, and promoting a positive and inclusive school culture.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to address individual students' needs and promote their progress.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture through interactions with students, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
  • Sound knowledge of various SEN conditions and effective strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Adaptability and resilience in responding to unique challenges in a SEN environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, ensuring effective execution of students' individual plans.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on the lives of students with SEN.
