About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Rotherham. As a key member of our Workshops, you will be responsible for providing technical and complex mechanical spares refurbishment and rotating machinery maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Refurbish and maintain high-quality mechanical equipment, including mill and crane gearbox assemblies, pumps, and roller refurbishment.
  • Work with a small team of skilled craft persons to deliver technical and complex mechanical spares refurbishment and rotating machinery maintenance services.
  • Apply safe working procedures and recognised safety practices to each task undertaken.
  • Deliver first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals and KPI's.
Requirements
  • Apprentice-trained with an NVQ level 3 in Engineering and a minimum 2 years' experience in technical fitting.
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances and to high-quality standards.
  • Ability to read engineering technical assembly and detail drawings.
  • Self-motivated and highly flexible.

Working hours are 7.30 am to 3.30 pm with opportunity for some overtime working. The role operates on a weekend rota basis for which a shift rota premium is paid.
