About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in the Respiratory Medicine department. As a Specialist Practitioner Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions to patients with respiratory conditions.

You will work closely with a senior psychologist and other multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective treatment plans. Your expertise in cognitive-behavioural approaches and experience in working with clients in physical health settings will be invaluable in this role.

The successful candidate will have a Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will also have experience in providing supervision and training, as well as working within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and therapeutic interventions to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Work closely with a senior psychologist and other multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Provide consultation to other professionals and non-professional groups.
  • Contribute to in-house teaching and education sessions within the Respiratory Medicine department.
  • Undertake research, audit, and service evaluation projects.
Person Specification
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience in providing supervision and training.
  • Experience in working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of cognitive-behavioural approaches and experience in working with clients in physical health settings.
