We are seeking experienced Mortgage Underwriters to work with our client in Cardiff. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing loan applications to ensure that all relevant documentation is received and reviewed, and that eligibility is checked against company standards and criteria.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake appraisal of applications received and submit recommendations for underwriting checks to the Assistant Manager or Head of Loans Underwriting.
- Case ownership from Application through to Offer, driving application to offer times by tracking the mortgage pipeline within the SLA.
- Produce Loan Offers in compliance with the Lending Policy and laid down procedures, for submission to and approval by the Assistant Manager/Head of Loans Underwriting.
On offer is a competitive salary in line with experience and some excellent benefits, including annual company bonus, great pension, insurance package, career progression, and study support. The role will be hybrid once you have completed initial training and probation.
