Senior DM Planning Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior DM Planning Officer to join our area team for a contract role. Our client is a local authority based in North London, offering a range of flexible working arrangements and a great work environment with the potential for a rolling contract.

The ideal candidate will have solid UK planning experience within a Local Authority setting, with a focus on customer service and managing a caseload to agreed timescales and quality criteria. Key responsibilities will include assessing all types of planning and associated applications, dealing with planning appeals, and representing the Council at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing planning and associated applications
  • Dealing with planning appeals
  • Representing the Council at Informal Hearings and Public Inquiries
  • Providing pre-application planning advice to prospective developers

Requirements:

  • Solid UK planning experience within a Local Authority setting
  • Customer-focused approach
  • Ability to manage a caseload to agreed timescales and quality criteria
