Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing an efficient and cost-effective support service to all departments and company facilities.

About the Role:

  • Maintaining Company Facilities: You will be responsible for maintaining company buildings, facilities, and equipment to the highest possible standard.
  • Energy Efficiency: Ensure cost-effective use of energy and general company facilities.
  • Policy and Procedure: Ensure all department policies and procedures are maintained, communicated, understood, and adhered to.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintenance and repair of all production plant equipment (CNC Machinery, Overhead Cranes) and services on site including office, kitchen, and toilet facilities.
  • Electrical Installations: Electrical installations, upgrades, and remedials.
  • Health and Safety: Emergency light testing, PAT testing, and thermal imaging.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Have served a recognized apprenticeship and have obtained a qualification in an electrical discipline to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Electrical Qualification: Hold a current electrical qualification in electrical installations, for example, City and Guilds 2382 or BS th Edition.
  • Industrial Experience: Have experience working in an industrial background.
  • Electrical Drawings: Have a good understanding of electrical drawings.
  • Team Player: Be able to work under pressure and be a good team player.
  • Communication Skills: Be a good communicator with a helpful and flexible approach and proactive in self-learning and development.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2391:
  • IPAF Certification: Types 1b, 3a, and 3b.
  • PAT Testing Experience:
  • Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) Certificates:
  • Valid UK Driving License:
  • Confined Space Training:
  • Working at Height:
