At Sporting House, we're seeking a passionate and dedicated Swimming Instructor to join our team of aquatic professionals. As a Swimming Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to children aged 3-11 years, inspiring them to develop a lifelong love of swimming.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver swimming lessons that meet the needs of our students, adhering to our scheme of work and lesson plans.
  • Integrate our programme reward schemes into classes, motivating students to reach their full potential.
  • Ensure the safe provision of all equipment and its correct use.
  • Conduct dynamic risk assessments to maintain safety standards in sessions.
  • Identify students' abilities and encourage them to reach their full potential.
  • Provide explanations and demonstrate modern and accurate swimming techniques.
  • Develop students' techniques and identify ways to improve performance.
  • Create a positive and fun environment that motivates and encourages students.
  • Evaluate sessions and provide feedback.
  • Regularly assess each student's ability and progress, arranging for the award of the appropriate certificates using our online portal.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards swimming.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to inspire confidence and motivate students.
  • Perseverance and patience.
  • The ability to encourage people and put them at ease.
  • A desire to meet individual needs.
  • Professional, punctual, and well-organised, responsible for the implementation, development, and organisation of swimming classes.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
