Consultant Psychiatrist Position

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Woking. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing senior medical cover on Acorn Ward, our 10-bed female mental health PICU service.
Key Responsibilities- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide psychiatric care to patients on Acorn Ward.
- Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDT.
- Assess referrals and undertake mental state examinations of service users.
- Undertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Participate in ward rounds and clinical audits.
- Lead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management, and embed clinical governance.
- Supervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals and managers hearings, and attend hearings.
- Participate in the telephone 1:7 Second on-call rota.
- Up to £90,000 per year (at 3 days per week).
- 30 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays.
