Job Title: HGV2 Driver - Logistics Specialist

Job Summary:

M4 Recruitment is seeking a skilled HGV2 Driver to join our team as a Logistics Specialist. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for making multi-drop deliveries of drinks products to licensed premises, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Vehicle Preparation: Conduct operator maintenance, ensure all products for a delivery are correct, and load them onto the vehicle safely.
  • Delivery Execution: Complete delivery notes, return sheets, and collect payments. Execute special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note.
  • Customer Service: Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential regarding premise security and operational information.
  • Route Planning: Plan your route and requirements for the drop by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.
  • Stock Management: Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their delivery. Return all empty cases and gas bottles and ensure they are correctly stored in the empties yard and unloaded in the correct manner.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a valid HGV2 license, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy loads.
