Job Title: Environmental Specialist

First Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Specialist to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our HSE team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Energy & Emissions Manager in the provision of energy transition services to our UK business units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Energy & Emissions Manager in the development and delivery of climate change and energy transition commitments, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and company targets.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including partners, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to influence and collaborate on energy transition risks and opportunities.
  • Provide input and advice on asset lifecycle energy transition requirements, driving performance improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company commitments.
  • Coordinate and determine greenhouse gas emissions forecasts to inform the net-zero strategy, development opportunity scenario analysis, and business planning.
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree-qualified environmental science or environmental engineering professional with extensive industry experience and a proven track record of delivery.
  • Member of a professional body, with ongoing CPD and working towards Chartered status.
  • Experience working in a team with oil and gas operating assets, wells, and project developments in an environmentally related role.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across the business and HSES team.
