Operations Director

Enva is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our waste transfer station and oil treatment plant operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, ensuring safe and efficient day-to-day running, and promoting a culture of collaboration and clear communication within and outside of the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:- Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance: Ensure all site activities are compliant with Environmental Permit and health and safety requirements, investigate and promote the reporting of Near Misses, and create a safe working environment for all site users.
- Operations: Evaluate and continually monitor operational performance, work closely with the Transport team and external third parties, and coordinate on-site operational projects to ensure consistent priorities and approach for all operators.
- Commercial: Responsible for the operational P&L, delivery of operating targets both operational and financial, and development of a culture of continuous improvement and consistency across all sites.
- Communications and Teamwork: Foster a culture of collaboration and clear communication within and outside of the operations team.
- Leadership: Develop a high-performing team culture, provide strong leadership for operations team, set clear objectives and targets, and ensure regular reviews.
- IOSH Managing Safely: Certification in IOSH Managing Safely.
- WAMITAB COTC: Experience working within the waste industry, with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
- Proactive and Safety-Focused Approach: A proactive and safety-focused approach, with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and a culture of collaboration and clear communication.
- Leadership and Management: Proven experience of leading operational teams, with a strong ability to develop effective and positive working relationships within and outside of the department.
- Technical Skills: Strong PC and technical knowledge and skills, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word and Excel.
