Child Protection Job Description

We are seeking a Family Support and Safeguarding Worker to join our team. This role involves working with children, young people, and families to ensure their welfare and safety.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and planning effective safeguarding interventions for children and families. They will work collaboratively with professionals and agencies to achieve best outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and plan effective safeguarding interventions for children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with professionals and agencies to achieve best outcomes for children and young people.
  • Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings to ensure the voice of the child is heard in decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration and ASYE completion.
  • Proven experience in safeguarding and child protection (minimum 1 year).
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
  • Decision-making and analysis skills to support effective care planning.
