Senior Electrical Cable Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Cable Engineer to join our team at Russell Taylor Group Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise on forensic projects related to electrical power cable systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and determine the root cause of failures in electrical power cable systems
  • Develop practical recommendations to reduce the risk of future failures
  • Collaborate with customers to deliver and report on projects
  • Conduct hands-on laboratory work and provide technical guidance
Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of cable systems, including design, construction, and electrical field distributions
  • Knowledge of common failure modes related to cables, joints, and terminations
  • Experience with partial discharge and its significance in cable system ageing and failure
