The Independent Schools Council is seeking an exceptional School Leader to fill the role of Assistant Head (Academic) in our Prep School, effective from September 2025.

Job Summary

This position involves leading the school's academic department and contributing to senior management decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing policies that promote academic excellence, overseeing department heads, and tracking pupil progress.

The ideal candidate will have a strong teaching background, leadership experience, and excellent communication skills. They should be able to inspire staff and students alike, possess diplomatic skills, and demonstrate a track record of successful leadership.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility at The Perse School. We require all applicants to undergo child protection screening, including references from previous employers, a Disclosure and Barring Service check, and eligibility to work in the UK.
