Green Space Ambassador

We are seeking a highly skilled Gardening Sessions Volunteer to develop and run engaging gardening sessions at our service. Our service users are eager to utilize our exceptional garden space.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of gardening, particularly in using the correct tools, growing, and maintaining plants, and be willing to share this knowledge with others.

We support our volunteers with an induction, training for the role, a named volunteer supervisor, a monthly newsletter, and a monthly online peer support group.

Duties:

• Developing ideas for gardening sessions that cater to the interests of our service users.
• Leading gardening sessions and involving the group in decision-making processes.
• Sharing expertise on plant growth and garden maintenance.
• Clearing the garden space after each session.
• Promoting the sessions to our service users.
• Maintaining a safe working environment and reporting any concerns to staff members.

As a volunteer with Creative Support, you will receive training for your role, access to a volunteer supervisor, an induction, a monthly volunteer newsletter, and an online volunteer support network group.

The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment with a passionate, inclusive, and anti-racist organization that values diversity and encourages applicants from all backgrounds and cultures.
