Job Title: Senior CAD Design Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Design Specialist to join our team at Adecco UK Limited. As a Senior CAD Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing bespoke sheet metal components and assemblies to meet customers' requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and develop bespoke sheet metal components and assemblies to meet customers' requirements.
* Communicate with the sales team and customers to create design concepts with drawings for customer approval.
* Generate flat patterns for CADCAM engineers while ensuring designs are suitable for tooling and machinery.
* Create detailed production drawings to be used for punch, fold, and assembly operations.
* Reverse engineer historical 2D files into 3D format to improve the level of technical detail.
* Lead design projects, including the creation of new products and the redesign of existing ranges.
* Coordinate with various departments to ensure design projects are on schedule to meet both technical and financial targets.

Requirements:

* Experience with 3D modelling software (Solidworks preferred).
* Understanding of design tables and DFM techniques.
* Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Bill of materials understanding.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Competent Excel skills.
