About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tiger Resourcing Group. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems for use in factory and process automation.

Working collaboratively across departments, you will rely on your electrical knowledge and expertise to design safe and effective solutions for our clients. You will have the opportunity to work with a range of electrical design software, including EPLAN, and will be required to design industrial control cabinets.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating and managing technical documentation in line with our product development process. You will also be required to travel to client sites in the UK, within the defence and aerospace sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical solutions for robot-based, electromechanical systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design safe and effective solutions
  • Use EPLAN electrical design software to design industrial control cabinets
  • Generate and manage technical documentation in line with our product development process
  • Travel to client sites in the UK, within the defence and aerospace sectors
Requirements
  • Degree/HND/HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent qualifications and/or experience
  • Previous experience within an electrical design role, or a role that has required a reasonable degree of electrical design
  • Proficient in the creation of Electrical Schematics
  • EPLAN
  • Demonstrable ability to create 2D electrical panel layouts
  • Able to manage your own time and prioritise tasks based on high-level project milestones and objectives
  • Willing and interested in learning new technology
  • Knowledge and ability to work to the required standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Natural problem-solving abilities
  • Willing to get hands-on and stuck in if required
  • Must be able to drive in the UK
