Job Title: Specialist SEMH Support Worker
Location: Haringey
Salary: £90 to £110 per day (dependent on experience)
GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist SEMH Support Worker to join a special school in Haringey. This is an exciting opportunity to support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and contribute to their educational journey. Prior experience in an SEMH setting is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support to students with SEMH needs and moderate learning abilities.
- Assist in managing and supporting students with challenging behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement tailored learning strategies.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all students.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH needs is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach to working with children.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviours while maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
