Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mental health professional to join our CAMHS team at Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a CAMHS Crisis Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative models of care and contributing to assessment and discharge planning for children and young people presenting with mental health crises.
Key Responsibilities- Work within a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team to ensure prompt assessment of children and young people under the age of 18 who present with urgent mental health needs.
- Contribute to assessment and discharge planning for children and young people presenting with mental health crises.
- Develop and implement innovative models of care to support children and young people with mental health needs.
- Collaborate with partner agencies and commissioners to transform services and improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Registration with a relevant professional body (clinical/counselling psychology, psychotherapy, systemic family psychotherapy, social work, nursing, occupational therapy).
- Relevant training or qualification in child and adolescent mental health.
- Relevant training on safeguarding and child protection.
- Experience of clinical and risk assessment and treatment of children and young people across the full range of care settings.
- Previous experience of working in CAMHS, with a proven track record of working with children, young people, and their families.
