Clinical Social Worker II

The Maryland Health Department is seeking a dedicated Clinical Social Worker II to join our team in providing exceptional healthcare services.
Main Purpose of Job:
The primary objective of this role is to deliver individual, group, and family counseling, as well as coordinate therapies and services to enhance the functioning of individuals served.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers.
Experience: Two years of experience in rendering clinical social work services in a healthcare or treatment setting subsequent to receiving an approved Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.
Notes: Candidates may substitute Armed Forces military service experience at a rank of Corporal/Petty Officer or higher as a commissioned officer in Social Work classifications or Social Work specialty codes in the Social Science, Psychology, and Welfare field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:
1. Candidates must be licensed as a Certified Social Worker or Certified Social Worker, Clinical by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment to a position in State service. Applicants who do not have a license may also apply pending receipt of the required license.
2. Candidates appointed to positions in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of an automobile. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess an appropriate operator's license valid in the State of Maryland.
