Planning Officer

Job Summary
Service Care Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Planning Officer to join their commercial team. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a local authority and possess a strong understanding of development management functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize a development management caseload of correspondence, applications, appeals, and pre-application enquiries in accordance with national and local performance targets.
- Undertake and verify the technical processing of development applications in accordance with legislative requirements, Council policy, and procedures.
Requirements
- Hold a Degree in Town Planning or a postgraduate planning qualification.
- Be educated to degree level with Chartered Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or working towards it).
Desirable Skills
- Experience of dealing with a varied caseload of planning application types.
- Ability to manage conflicting demands, prioritize tasks, and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure.
Compensation
The client is offering a competitive hourly rate of between £30 - £40 per hour, paid through an umbrella company.
