We're a leading company in the food industry, driven by innovation and a commitment to quality. Our finance team plays a critical role in our success, and we're looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join us.

Your Role

As a Cost Accountant, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining our cost accounting system, ensuring accurate cost analysis and profitability reporting. You'll work closely with our production team to determine production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate cost models, reflecting changes in manufacturing costs in a timely manner.
  • Upload cost changes to our customer pricing portal promptly.
  • Provide costings and analysis for new product development, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Compare standard costs with actual costs, highlighting factors affecting pricing and profitability.
  • Conduct manufacturing cost audits to ensure accurate cost capture.
  • Assist in external audits and customer reviews.
  • Provide cover for the Finance Team as needed.
  • Collaborate in S&OP and forecasting processes, analyzing the impact of production plan changes.
  • Lead post-launch reviews and wash-up meetings, identifying learnings and implementing improvements.

Requirements

  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant or equivalent.
  • Experience with standard costing models and cost systems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong Excel skills.
