Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer - Offshore Oil & Gas / Renewables

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in the Offshore Oil & Gas / Renewables sector. As a key member of our design department, you will be responsible for providing detailed engineering design and technical support for mechanical asset solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide detailed design engineering for new projects, liaising with other departments to ensure understanding of all customer/project requirements
* Produce economic engineered solutions, considering all aspects from materials to manufacturability and quality
* Formulate good working relationships with customers and suppliers, communicating with the Senior Design Engineer frequently
* Operate CAD package and design software, maintaining files and working environment in an orderly and safe fashion

Requirements:

* Degree in an Engineering subject, or relevant experience gained in an engineering field
* Good time-management skills and able to prioritise work to ensure all Design Engineering Team requirements are met on time
* Familiarity with the challenges of working on multiple projects and managing tasks effectively
* Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering theory
* Technical report writing
* Experienced with AutoCAD software packages, specifically AutoDesk Inventor and Vault, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel

Stakeholders: Projects, Sales, Tendering, Planning, Engineering (Design, Product Development and Analysis), Supply Chain, Operations, and External Clients/Customers.
