Job Description: Youth Mentor Volunteer - Stone

About the Role: Our Independent Visiting service is seeking a motivated and caring individual to become a Youth Mentor Volunteer. As a Youth Mentor, you will be matched with a child or young person in care, providing them with regular contact and activities tailored to their interests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Become a positive role model and establish a trusting relationship with your allocated young person
  • Plan and participate in regular activities with your young person, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development
  • Support your young person in achieving their goals and aspirations, providing guidance and encouragement when needed

Requirements:

  • Age 18 or above
  • No experience necessary, just a genuine interest in supporting children and young people
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required

What We Offer: Regular training and support to ensure you feel confident and equipped to make a positive impact on the life of your allocated young person. A competitive hourly rate of £9.50 per hour, paid bi-weekly. The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people in need.
