Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanic to contribute to the high standard of maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and equipment. As a member of our team, you will provide advice, maintenance, and repair expertise over a wide range of vehicles, including mechanical, auto electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on all firefighting vehicles, cars, vans, pick-ups, and other ancillary vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Provide advice and guidance on vehicle maintenance and repair to ensure legal requirements are met and agreed standards are maintained.
  • Maintain relevant records and job cards for all repairs.
  • Work closely with the Workshop Technical Supervisor and Technical Equipment Supervisor to ensure the highest standards of maintenance are achieved.
Requirements
  • Experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, auto electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic disciplines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
