Job Description:

Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in the Weston-super-mare area. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to carpentry, including:

  • First and Second Fix Carpentry: You will be responsible for installing and repairing various types of woodwork, including doors, windows, and other fixtures.
  • Hanging Doors: You will need to accurately measure and install doors to ensure a proper fit.
  • Cutting in Strips: You will be responsible for cutting and fitting strips of wood to create a seamless finish.
  • Installing Skirting and Architrave: You will need to install skirting boards and architrave to complete the finishing touches on a room.
  • Remedial Works: You will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged or worn-out woodwork.
  • Joinery: You will need to perform various joinery tasks, including cutting and assembling wood to create custom pieces.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Experience: You must have relevant experience in carpentry, either through formal education or on-the-job training.
  • NVQ Qualified Carpenter or Tradesman: You must hold a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) in carpentry or a related trade.
  • CSCS Card: You must hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card to demonstrate your competence in the trade.
  • Full Tool Set: You must have a complete set of tools necessary for the job, including power tools and hand tools.
  • Full Driving License: You must hold a valid full driving license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Own Vehicle: You must have access to a reliable vehicle for transportation to and from job sites.
