About the Role

As a key member of the Carrier team, you will be responsible for leading a large team of experienced Finance professionals or team leaders. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing key components of financial plans, managing and monitoring financial initiatives and controls. You will evaluate and recommend strategies for financial and budget plans, advising senior management on financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

As a UK Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, manage and monitor financial initiatives and controls, and evaluate and recommend strategies for financial and budget plans.
  • Financial Leadership: Lead a team of experienced Finance professionals or team leaders, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting, and provide timely monthly management reporting for UK operations.
  • Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with UK financial regulations.
  • Financial Systems Implementation: Support the implementation of financial systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes.

Candidate Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualification: A recognized accounting qualification, with experience in UK GAAP reporting requirements.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work and deliver within tight timelines.
  • Leadership and Management Experience: Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a global business with operations in the UK and sales across Europe.
  • Manufacturing Accounting Experience: Experience in manufacturing accounting, with a strong understanding of cost accounting and general ledger close processes.
  • University Degree or Equivalent Experience: A university degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years experience.
